Coe Landing Road Trail Crossing
Unaka Consulting prepared an evaluation of location options for an equestrian trail crossing of Coe Landing Road, within the Lake Talquin State Forest, for the Southern Trailriders Association. The trail crossing is needed to connect the existing Fort Braden Trails of the Lake Talquin State Forest to the Apalachicola National Forest via a proposed equestrian trail system. The crossing evaluation criteria included property ownership issues, crossing safety design requirements, permitting issues, and compatibility with future recreational facility development plans. A report was prepared with option evaluations and recommendations for review by the Lake Talquin State Forest staff and final location approval prior to initiating permitting activities.
